Injection Treatments

  • Ultrasound Guided Injections:With the help of an ultrasound imaging, we can perform precise injections to the area of pain. It allows medicine to be delivered to exact location and target. No radiation exposure with ultrasound and it is safe and non invasive. It is also safe in pregnancy.
  • Nerve Blocks:Blocking certain nerves with medications stop pain from reaching to the brain. This offers immediate pain relief of severe and acute pain. It is also used in chronic pain treatment. It improves day to day functioning and quality of life by decreasing irritation around the nerves.
  • Low Back Pain, Leg Pain treatment with Lumbar Epidural Injections:Lumbar epidural injections with steroids under x ray guidance help with temporary but immediate pain relief in acute conditions.
  • Neck, Shoulder and Arm Pain with cervical epidural injections:this helps improve pain and inflammation around the nerves in the neck. It allows you to improve your activities of daily living which could be affected by pain.
  • Facet Joint Injections for Back and Neck Pain:Medicine with injected into the inflamed joint in the vertebrae. Immediate pain improved can be noted within few hours. Improvement can last for weeks to months and some time longer.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

In this outpatient Minimally invasive procedure done less than an hour an X-ray is used to locate and treat pain causing nerves using radiofrequency energy. An area to be treated is numbed with needle the heat energy with RFA is used to treat affected nerves. Pain signals going to the brain are disrupted. Pain relief starts within few weeks after treatment and effect can be of longer duration from 6 months upto 2 years in most cases. You can resume your activities with in a day.
